Who Are We?

We’re the group no one volunteers to join. As members of American Gold Star Mothers, Inc., we are mothers, stepmothers, and adoptive mothers whose sons and daughters died while serving in the military. Their deaths were due to—killed in combat, training accidents, homicide, suicide, sudden illness, toxic exposure, accidents, terrorist attacks, and other causes of death related to their military service.

What Is Our Purpose?

Remember—Honor—Service encapsulates our purpose. American Gold Star Mothers, Inc.—The Department of Colorado serves and supports each other as we trek through the lifelong mourning journey. Through the strength of sisterhood we honor the memory of our sons and daughters by serving veterans, men and women serving in the military, and their families in our community.
